Raid Advice

If you think you could just run into ICC and roflstomp all those bosses now that you are 85, you got another thing coming. Especially in 25 man. The fights themselves, as we know, do not have difficult mechanics; It is the fact you have to coordinate 25 people to work those mechanics right.
For the first few times of Blood Queen Lana'thel, Sindragosa and Lich King you will wipe. Shake it off kids because there is a difference between hearing or watching videos of the fights and actually doing them. Once you experienced them it will become easier.
With this, I do ask you, please for the love of all that is good, do not rage quit after one wipe in a raid. Raids are essentially giant wipe-fests. Heroics are the same but for masochists that say "Oh yessir, please, more pain".
I have yet to expirence a Heroic raid as they only started showing in Ulduar. But from what I have seen in videos, granted things are harder than they look. It is a huge pain.

Now for the topic of this post. Raid Advice and Etiquette. Keep these in mind as you raid, or even dungeon.

1. Know the fights. If you don't inform the group before the first pull to help you learn. (Example: "I just wish to say I do not know this dungeon/raid/boss, can you please help me?)
2. Inform the group if you go afk. It is polite to do so.
3. Get out of the fire. This goes for all bad AoEs. Defile, Lightening. Everything that does nasty things. Your healers appreciate it.
4. Take advantage of positive things. Such as, Buffs like Altiarus' Upwind and Downwind mechanic. Or even Bio Breaks. Use the bathroom on breaks guys. Its helpful so we don't wait up on you.
5. Don't panic or get frustrated. The "don't panic" is more for healers. Watching those health bars drop can not be fun, but if you take a deep breath and calm down, you think clearly and place your heals right. Getting frustrated is raid wide. If you wipe, big deal. Shake it off, go back in, eat and drink, buff up, talk strategy and try again.

That is all for now and as an added bonus, here is the Lich King raid run pics that inspired this post. Err ignore the naked Worgen there. I am the non name-plated Nelf Druid with a green pony tail.

Twitterized!

I have updated my twitter account to reflect my blog. I will be posting there when I am livestreaming as well as minor updates. If you wish to follow me, go to  http://www.twitter.com/thedraeneimage

Also, It appears that no one has beaten all the heroic raid bosses yet. But Paragon on Lightening Blade EU is in the lead with 10/12. They got the Nefarian Heroic World first! Grats to them.

PTR is up, you can find patch notes here. http://www.mmo-champion.com/content/2139-Patch-4.0.6-PTR-Notes-Update-January-6-Cataclysm-Hotfixes

I plan on livestreaming my first heroic dungeon on my mage after I gear her up. It shouldn't be too hard. She is an enchanter and a tailor. But, keep in mind this isn't the first time I have done heroics. I have healed for a good chunk of them on my Resto druid.

Anyway, that is all the updates for now. Later guys!

Mages and Updates

I finally have intensive for me to get my mage to cap. I set up my Live Stream account to start recording and streaming dungeon runs. Both good and bad; you will see my wipes, fails and victories. At that point I will be saving recordings of myself running dungeons. In the future; I will post when I will be livestreaming as most likely it will be dungeon runs with my guild.

Patch 4.0.1!

Well as we all know by now, Cataclysm is fast approaching with the new expansion is releasing on December 7th! I already ordered my collectors edition as well as my room mates. (Late birthday gift.) With this I will start posting my likes and dislikes of the new features of the pre-cata patch.

Warlocks:
Hand of Gul'dan: I love this skill. Here is what it does, word for word from the game. "Summons a falling meteor down upon the enemy target, dealing 1430 to 1688 Shadow damage and erupts an aura of magic within 4 yards, causing all targets within it to have an increased 10% chance to be critically hit by any of your demons. The aura lasts for 15 sec." That is really nice for PvE solo. Not to mention it has a 12 second cool down. So you could just turn to a new mob and use it again. Now I must note that this description is at rank 1. There is also a Talent that effects this skill, making it very powerful. Highly recommended if you are in the demonology tree.

Oh, and NO MORE FUCKING SOUL SHARDS TAKING UP EVERY DAMN SLOT OF YOUR BAGS.
But the downside is, you have only 3 usable shards in combat that appear below your picture UI in the upper left.

As I discover more of the big changes in classes, I will post them before Cataclysm comes out.

Welcome to the Storm

Hello all! Welcome to my blog where I post about my experiences in World of Warcraft as an Alliance side player.
I chose to start this now for a few reasons. And I shall list them.
1) Experiences in World of Warcraft prior to the launch of Cataclysm for those who picked up the game post 3rd expansion launch who want to know what it was like. This is a big reason why, because, I often myself wonder what it was like prior to Wrath of the Lich King and even back in Vanilla WoW.
2) I have many issues with the game (as it stands) that I want to get out as well as things that make me smile.
3) Not many girl commentators on WoW... yeah... I'm fixing that problem now.

Well welcome to my blog and I hope you enjoy my rantings and experiences in the game as well as the pictures I post showing interesting, angering and funny things. (As well as adorable, but I am a girl so expect a few things.) I will continue this blog through Cataclysm launch to show you what it's like fighting crowds on massively populated servers.

Eventually I will have Fraps and I will post videos on my You Tube page. But for right now, no dice. I need to save money for Cataclysm Collectors Edition. Two of them. One is a birthday gift for my friend. Shhh. ;)
